·      Summary of Mark 9:17-24

·      A father brings his son, who is possessed by a “dumb spirit,” to Jesus after the disciples are unable to heal him. The father pleads with Jesus, saying, “If thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.” Jesus responds, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” The father immediately cries out, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” Jesus then heals the boy, casting out the evil spirit.
